Question:
What are the best undergraduate majors for going into the public sector?
Answer:
-
-
-
It matters less what you major or majored in than how you present the skills you acquired through your studies--including writing, research and analysis--and what kinds of internships, extracurricular activities and volunteer activities you've done. If you're applying for government jobs, of course being a government major may be an advantage; if you're looking to teach, always good to have education classes, but even more important to have student-taught or tutored.
