Sector Switcher Advice - Live on YouTube

Published October 21, 2009 @ 06:54PM PT

I did a live webinar on Monday with the New Organizing Institute  and fabulous Program Manager, AnneMarie Ashburn. We had an impressive turnout and a lot of great questions.  Have you heard of NOI? NOI runs the only progressive advocacy and campaign training program focused on cutting-edge online organizing techniques (e.g. writing effective emails, engaging bloggers, leveraging social networks, utilizing video), political technology (e.g. using data effectively, progressive technology infrastructure), and the intersection with field and management of these areas of new organizing.

If you've thought about campaigning or political organizing as a career option, NOI offers information, resources and online training opportunities. Their next webinar is Monday, October 26th and will focus on using interactive media to leverage resources and support - a must have skill if you are interested in a career shift to campaign, organizing or advocacy.

Also, if you're a sector switcher or nonprofit job seeker, don't forget to listen in on my webinar online at YouTube. (Photo Credit:http://www.flickr.com/photos/bruceheavin/3184024443/sizes/m/_)
