Job Description
* Ensure quality and accuracy of constituent database (i.e. Raiser's Edge 7) files and hard files pertaining to development, event coordination and community relations.
* Enter alpha or numerical information into Raiser's Edge from records, invoices, donations or other sources. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of constituent and fund development data input.
* Manage and customize Raiser's Edge fund management software to provide accurate and timely reports and lists to meet the needs of all EMO staff.
* Send grant deadline reminders to other staff members and update grant information in Raiser's Edge, hard files and other lists as proposals and reports are submitted.
* Record and batch checks and cash received from EMO programs and donors on a daily basis. Track and report contributions accurately and promptly.
* Prepare and process development correspondence, such as donation requests, and run donor acknowledgement letters and regularly scheduled donation reports from Raiser's Edge.
* Provide information to donors, staff, members and public as required with approval.
* Assist with production and coordination of projects (i.e. appeals, newsletters, Voice, events) as assigned by the Development Director.
* Query Raiser's Edge database for parameters for 10 or more mailings and export mailing lists. Act as contact for mail house to ensure timely processing of large bulk mailings.
* Provide assistance and event coordination (i.e. registration, mailing, production, logistics, etc.) to the Development/Communications department as well as Public Policy and Environmental Ministries. Take registrations for at least eight separate events using Raiser's Edge and put together materials for check-in at each. Maintain event records both electronically and hard-copy forms.
* Provide back-up coverage to Senior Administrative Assistant.
* Assist with board meetings and take minutes at Development Committee and related group meetings.
* Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
* Ability to work within the mission, vision and ethics of Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon.
* Willingness and ability to work with people of diverse ethnicity, socio-economic circumstance, religion, culture and sexual orientation.
* Proficiency with Windows, MS Office, local area network systems, Raiser's Edge 7 fund management software and event module, and desktop publishing software.
* Experience in providing support to fundraising and public relations events.
* High-level organization and prioritization skills and ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor.
* Skill/ability to effectively communicate (orally and in writing).
* Tolerance for ambiguity and change.
* Must have a car, possess valid driver's license and evidence of insurability.
