Job Description
Works with Development Director and Development/Admin Team to plan, implement, and assess comprehensive fund development and marketing strategies to support the daily operation and long-term sustainability of Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence (SPAN), a social justice organization.
Skills & Qualifications
· B.A. degree or equivalent experience.
· Minimum 3 years experience in development/fundraising.
· Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
· Ability to multi-task, prioritize, problem solve, and organize work load effectively.
· Ability to consistently meet competing deadlines.
· Ability to manage/pay meticulous attention to details while also maintaining focus on overall vision and goals.
· Demonstrated ability to coordinate groups of volunteers and work effectively with committees.
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, and Outlook.
· Experience with PowerPoint, Constant Contact, Facebook and Twitter desired.
· At least 1 year experience with Raiser's Edge or other donor software.
· Must be highly motivated, outgoing, and energetic, with positive attitude and ability to work independently.
· Ability to manage crisis/critical situations in calm and effective manner.
· Knowledge of social justice issues, especially anti-oppression and prevention of violence against women.
· Knowledge of domestic violence, and of race, class, and sexual orientation issues.
• Available to work evenings and weekends as needed.
