Job Description
• Coordinate event logistics details (route, rest stops, camps, entertainment, food, hydration, recruit specialty crew members, other logistics details)
• Conduct progress report meetings with the Ride Coordinator & Executive Director
• Work full time the three weeks prior to and the week following the Seattle event ( July 15, 2010 - August 15, 2010)
• Work as a crew member on the 2010 New York Ride (June 2010) and Midwest Ride (Fall 2010).
• Manage data entry and comply with budget requirements and financial procedures
• Assist with local marketing & recruitment
• Continuously maintain accurate computer files and event lists
• Conduct occasional participant communication
• Frequent local travel
• Other duties and projects as assigned or needed
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred. Direct, personal experience in special events for not-for-profit institutions or charitable causes required. Candidate must have the ability to work from home, as well as reliable transportation for local travel. Experience in multiple-day athletic fundraisers (especially bicycle rides) preferred.

• Strong computer skills, including MS Word and Excel
• Experience leading and managing volunteers
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Get Your Guts in Gear - The Ride for Crohn's & Colitis ("GYGIG") is a charitable organization that creates and produces 3-day bicycle rides designed to raise awareness and funds for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis (collectively known as Inflammatory Bowel Disease, or "IBD"). Our Rides empower individuals affected by these diseases and also raise awareness about IBD.
